$79,522.00/yr - $91,451.00/yr

Rothe is seeking a Live Television Producer to provide broadcast television production services for the Johnson Space Center’s Public Affairs Office in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency’s enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications for NASA’s Office of Communications (OCOMM). From photographing rocket launches and recoveries, to producing engaging videos, to information technology management, to using social media to share NASA’s message, eMITS integrates services for NASA IT and provides NASA’s communication to the outside world. This is a Hybrid Role in Houston, TX at NASA Johnson Space Center

Job Description

This position is for a full-time Live Television / Video Producer with duties that include, but are not limited to:

1. Direct and produce live televised events, coordinating with media clients before and during events.
2. Work under various conditions, including in the studio, production control room, remote field locations, and other NASA field center locations.
3. Perform all pre-production for live televised events, including communicating with external clients, scheduling technical checkouts, and updating the NASA team on progress.
4. Serve as the primary contact for the NASA customer for assigned events.
5. Collaborate within the JSC Multimedia Team, which includes videographers, video producers, graphic artists, editors, engineers, and audio technicians. Be capable of working autonomously to meet deadlines.
6. Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and outside normal hours.
7. Communicate professionally with NASA personnel, adhere to government protocols, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written skills.
8. Follow quality control, safety, operations, administrative, and security procedures, including reporting requirements.

Travel costs to NASA centers for badging and equipment are borne by the employee for remote, hybrid, and onsite roles.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in live television, multimedia production, or related field from an accredited university or technical institute, with at least 5 years of broadcast production experience.

Minimum Requirements

• Strong experience with modern video switchers, graphics engines, and MAM systems.
• Experience working in Windows networked environments and with Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with Dalet Media Asset Management System or similar MAMs.
• Knowledge of digital video formats.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and Box.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
