Job Description
The Virginia Tech School of Communication invites applications for a two-year non-tenure-track appointment to begin August 2025. The instructor will teach Communication Skills, a two-semester course in written and oral communication for first-year students. The instructor will teach four classes per semester and use a common syllabus and tests.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Communication or related discipline.
- Experience teaching writing and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative teaching team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Full-time experience in teaching written and oral communication.
- Course work/experience in teaching first-year students.
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate technology into teaching.
- Experience/training with incorporating assessment into course work.
