This role requires a highly skilled investigative journalist with a proven track record in uncovering original stories that expose wrongdoing and hold powerful entities accountable. The Investigative Reporter/Producer must be adept at sourcing information from diverse platforms, turning complex stories into compelling visual content, and working independently and collaboratively on multiple projects.
Your Responsibilities include:
- Create compelling video journalism for various platforms.
- Develop and execute story ideas from inception to publication.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Research and verify information using open sources, human sources, data, and documents.
- Produce stories and digital investigations from start to finish, including pre- and post-production.
- Assist in writing text stories for digital platforms.
- Produce live segments in the field, studio, or remote locations.
- Utilize skills in photojournalism, editing, and graphics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least five years of production experience in news television or digital journalism, with investigative reporting expertise.
- Strong news judgment, communication, research, and production skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
- Field reporting experience is advantageous.
- Degree in journalism, politics, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
