Overview
Acts as the liaison between the merchant and field organizations by translating the Buyer's strategic vision into store-specific planograms that meet sales and productivity goals, supporting the Dick's Corporate Brand. Responsible for producing and publishing directives for in-store implementation of game plans, adjacency plans, and planograms.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Create store-specific planograms based on buyers' assortment plans, aligning with corporate strategy, marketing, and prototypes. Collaborate with the Allocation Team to ensure proper inventory levels.
- Analyze SKU productivity, identify opportunities to improve sales and space utilization, and address assortment gaps.
- Participate in weekly Merchant Business Review meetings, sharing insights and field feedback.
- Coordinate setup of product sections and floor layouts; ensure visual standards and availability of merchandise and collateral.
- Build effective relationships with cross-functional teams and share best practices.
- Support special projects, store resets, and new store openings to ensure accuracy and completeness of plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Merchandising, or Marketing.
- 1-3 years of experience in space planning, retail, merchandising, or inventory management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and space planning software (e.g., JDA, SAS, Spaceman, Apollo).
- Excellent communication, business acumen, customer service, interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively in a team.
- Some travel may be required.
