Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director and/or Nurse Manager, the Video Monitor Tech/Tele Tech/ Licensed Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care to adult or pediatric patients, from simple to complex.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Proof of LNA Education Certificate and Final Report of Written and Clinical Competency Testing Results (as required by NH Board of Nursing).
Certifications and Licenses
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification, or equivalent.
- Current New Hampshire Nursing Assistant License.
Experience
One year experience in an acute care setting. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with patients and families; perform behavioral checks and interventions.
- Monitor and interpret basic dysrhythmias; manage video monitoring of patients.
- Assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
- Deploy and maintain video/telemetry equipment.
- Document care and interventions accurately.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stocked work environment.
- Follow delegation protocols and perform duties as assigned.
- Serve as a preceptor for new staff.
