Job Title: Marketing Content Specialist

Type of Role: Contract to Hire

Expected Length of Contract: 12 weeks

Shift / Hours: Standard business hours

Location: Grapevine, TX

Hourly Range: $25-$40/hr

Are you a talented wordsmith with a passion for creating engaging content? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love bringing ideas to life through compelling copy? We're seeking a Marketing Content Specialist to play a pivotal role in shaping our client's online presence and marketing materials. This is an exciting opportunity to develop a brand's voice and contribute to a collaborative team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Create, develop, and manage all content for the organization's web presence, utilizing content management software.
• Coordinate web content projects across various departments to ensure seamless execution.
• Maintain a consistent and impactful voice across all web and printed materials.
• Collaborate with a cross-departmental team to maintain and develop the master content calendar for all web properties.
• Copyedit and proofread all web content with exceptional attention to detail.
• Work closely with the marketing team and oversee freelancers, including writers, copyeditors, and community outreach organizers.
• Stay current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and industry events.
• Work cooperatively with key team members, clients, and vendors to achieve shared goals.

Skills and Experience:

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.1
• Prior experience managing content for high-traffic websites is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and MS Office products.
• Advanced knowledge of SEO concepts and strategies.
