Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of experience in commissioning and/or designing AV systems for Enterprise customers.
- Advanced technical knowledge of AV equipment and systems, including cameras, matrix switchers, DSPs, and control system platforms (e.g., Crestron, Extron, QSC).
- Extensive experience building and supporting Cisco Macros for room integration and customizations.
- Ability to interpret advanced single-line diagrams, architectural, construction, and electrical drawings.
- Knowledge of project financial reports and cost control in project design and management.
- Understanding of basic networking and AVoIP protocols (e.g., AVB, Dante).
- Experience configuring and supporting MTR, Zoom Rooms, and Cisco Webex endpoints for video conferencing solutions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar diagrammatic software tools.
- Experience with DVLED video walls such as Planar and Unilumen.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; experience leading field project installations is advantageous.
- Providing technical expertise for architecture, installation, and planning of audio, video, and control solutions.
- Researching and evaluating hardware and software options.
- Experience with Digital Signage platforms and hardware is a plus.
- Experience with streaming platforms such as Vbrick and Hive is a plus.
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in a pre-sales Engineering role.
- Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent technical experience is desirable.
- AV project management experience.
- Technical certifications related to Audio/Visual industry.
- Experience with collaboration tools such as Teams, Zoom, and WebEx.
Additional Requirements:
- Preferred qualifications include AV design experience and certifications such as CTS & CTS-D (AVIXA), Dante Level 1, and proficiency with MTR, Crestron, Biamp, QSC, Shure, Cisco, Sennheiser hardware/software.
- May require occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Up to 25% domestic travel; international travel possible.
- Valid passport and U.S. driver’s license.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Willingness to pursue additional training.
- Willing to undergo background checks and drug tests as required.

What will you be doing?
We seek a Design Engineer with extensive AV design experience and industry knowledge in the enterprise segment. This pre-sales role involves listening to customer needs and designing solutions focused on end-user and administrative experience, engaging directly with senior IT and facilities clients.
Responsibilities:
- Support the sales team with detailed AV engineering.
- Create and document customer designs based on requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, interior designers, and consultants throughout project phases.
- Develop Bills of Materials and Statements of Work.
- Design system diagrams, specifications, and operational narratives.
- Estimate project costs accurately.
- Respond technically to RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
- Coordinate with the engineering team and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Manage multiple design projects efficiently.
- Develop and adhere to technical standards.
- Interpret technical specifications and architectural diagrams.
- Research new integrations and stay updated on AV advancements.
