Position Overview
This full-time Sign Production Specialist/Installer/Graphic Designer position involves the physical production of signs. Responsibilities include preparing substrates, operating machinery, and constructing signs according to instructions. The role may also involve installing signs and designing graphics for production.
Qualifications
- Sign Installer: 2+ years experience
- Sign Production: 2+ years experience
- Graphic Design: 3+ years experience, training in Adobe Illustrator
Ideal Candidate
- Has worked in a full-service vinyl sign shop and can independently design, produce, and install signs with minimal supervision

Job Responsibilities
- Machines: Operate and maintain Epson Surecolor S60600 Vinyl Printer, Mimaki Plotter CG160FX2, KalaMistrial Laminator, Colex Sharpcut Router, CWT Applicator Table
- Software: Use Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop, Onyx RIP, Corebridge POS, Mimaki FineCut Software
- Prepare signs for printing, cutting, and routing
- Prepare substrates for vinyl application, including cutting, plotting, printing, weeding, painting, laminating, cleaning
- Install signs: vinyl and dimensional letters on interior and exterior surfaces
- Perform quality checks to ensure product accuracy and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with team members to complete orders accurately and timely
- Monitor and report inventory levels
- Communicate with customers as needed
- Serve as backup designer and customer service representative (training provided)
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Learn new technologies and techniques as the company evolves
