About the Role

Culmen International is hiring a Technical Writer III to support the Research Directorate at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, on-site in Lakehurst, NJ.

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Lakehurst (LKE) Mission Operations & Integration (MO&I) Department is responsible for Navy Aircraft Platform Support Equipment (SE), Aircraft Launch Recovery Equipment (ALRE), and supports various DoD programs, providing logistics, engineering, and cyber work products.

This is for future openings, and positions may not be immediately available.

What You'll Do in Your New Role

• Create and edit technical documents for manuals, guides, and procedures.
• Lead the development and maintenance of documentation standards and templates.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather and verify technical information.
• Ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency of written content.

Required Qualifications

• BS/BA in English, Journalism
• 10+ years of experience as a technical writer of military specifications, standards, and technical manuals.
• Strong writing and editing skills, expertise in technical communication, and proficiency in document management tools.
• Active Secret Clearance
