Summary
The Detailer and Graphics Installer is responsible for installing graphics and painting parts on aircraft refueler and vacuum trucks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Prepare truck and/or tank for paint, graphics, and placards.
2. Cut, prepare, and apply vinyl graphics up to 30’ long and 5’ wide on circular surfaces, sometimes from a ladder.
3. Mask or tape off detailed components to prevent contamination.
4. Wash the exterior and detail the interior of vehicles according to company standards.
5. Mix paint according to specifications.
6. Operate and clean air spray guns.
7. Polish and buff imperfections when necessary, mainly on aluminum tanks.
8. Maintain cleanliness of the garage/shop, including weekly floor sweeping and organizing shelves and supply cabinets.
9. Ensure proper inventory of supplies and coordinate with the manager for ordering when needed.
10. Follow the company’s detail checklist.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of safety requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• At least two years of experience installing vehicle graphics and painting large equipment.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None.

Physical Demands: Frequently standing, walking, crawling, stooping, reaching, and using a ladder or stepstool. Occasionally sitting, using hands for computer work, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Work Environment: Moderate to loud noise levels typical of vehicle shops. Indoor, non-climate-controlled environment.
