Job Responsibilities
Provides instruction to students enrolled in MUS 105: Music Appreciation. This is an in-person position that will be required to teach classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools. Duties include conducting appropriate learning activities, maintaining effective instructional management, participating in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings, adhering to all college-designated deadlines, and participating in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments.
This position is located on various Midlands Technical College campuses and off-campus instructional sites.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Master of Arts in Music; or Master of Arts plus 18 hours in Music.
Preferred Qualifications
Past experience in teaching introductory college Music courses, especially in the community college setting, is preferred.

Compensation
Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College's established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
