O’Hara Interiors is hiring a part-time Interior Design Associate to join our Minneapolis studio. This is an ideal opportunity for a junior designer with 1–3 years of experience who is eager to grow, gain hands-on project experience, and work alongside a talented senior designer on high-end residential interiors. If so, we would love to meet you. About the Role You will work directly with one senior designer, supporting them through all phases of the design process. This includes sourcing, CAD drawings, site visits, and vendor coordination. You will split your time between our studio and independent work from home, and you’ll be involved in real projects from day one. Key Responsibilities • Draft floor plans, elevations, and space plans using AutoCAD • Attend client meetings and site visits to take notes, measurements, and photos • Source and organize samples, finishes, and furnishings • Support client presentations and prepare project documentation • Communicate with vendors and trades as needed • Create pricing sheets, estimates, and track project budgets • Help maintain project organization and keep tasks moving forward • Visit local showrooms and job sites around the Twin Cities Required Qualifications • 1–3 years of professional design experience or equivalent internships • Degree in Interior Design (Associate’s or Bachelor’s) • Proficiency in AutoCAD with real-world application • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Professional communication and follow-through • Reliable transportation and ability to drive to appointments and job sites Bonus Points For • Experience working with high-end residential clients • Familiarity with design software beyond AutoCAD • Strong visual presentation and communication skills • ASID student or emerging professional membership • Polished, professional appearance and a team-first mindset This is a hands-on role with mentorship and room to grow.
