We are seeking a behavioral research scientist to join Northrop Grumman's People Analytics within the Insights & Intelligence Solutions. This role reports to the Manager of Research & Insights and is fully remote.
About People Analytics
Within our I2S organization, we use science, research, and data to generate strategic insights and develop innovative analytics solutions for our business.
Role Responsibilities
- Design employee listening programs and conduct quantitative analyses to uncover insights.
- Communicate findings through data journalism to inform HR and business decisions in areas like talent acquisition, culture, and retention.
- Explore stories by hypothesizing, identifying data patterns, and deriving findings.
- Develop and execute employee surveys including engagement, pulse, onboarding, and exit surveys.
- Collaborate with data professionals to validate and enhance findings.
- Present results to executive audiences, highlighting key insights.
- Manage projects from concept to deployment, working with stakeholders to understand needs.
Qualifications
For Level 3:
- PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology with 1 year experience, or a related Master's with 3 years, or a Bachelor's with 5 years.
- Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and visualization.
- Strong quantitative and statistical skills.
- Experience in survey development and data storytelling.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate findings effectively.
For Level 4:
- PhD with 4 years of experience, or a Master's with 6 years, or Bachelor's with 8 years.
- Same technical skills as Level 3, with additional experience in leadership and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as a professional data journalist.
- Experience with people- or talent-related data.
- Experience with Qualtrics survey deployment and dashboard creation.
