Selectek has an opportunity for a Plumbing Designer to join an international architectural and engineering firm in Atlanta, GA. You’ll use your skills and experience to work on challenging projects in the Commercial, Education, Healthcare, and Aviation industries, with a focus on HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems. Please note that you must be authorized to work for any employer in the USA to be considered for this position. Embrace a Hybrid Work Schedule: This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home 2 days a week while also fostering collaboration in the office. What You'll Do: Design and finalize plans for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection systems across diverse projects. Oversee projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, schedules, and quality standards. Collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, clients, and other stakeholders. Develop innovative solutions to complex design challenges. Create clear and concise contract documents, including plans and specifications. Integrate seamlessly with other design disciplines (Civil, Architectural, etc.) Perform site visits for verification, troubleshooting, and design updates. Travel occasionally for project needs. We're looking for someone with: 8 years of experience in designing and specifying various HVAC systems. Expertise in domestic water systems, sanitary & vent design, and compressed air systems. Experience with medical gas and fire protection design (wet, dry, clean agent). Proficiency in Revit and experience with AutoCAD. Working knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (IBC, ASHRAE, ASPE, NFPA). A plus if you have: Certified Plumbing Designer (CPD) credential. Experience with Carrier HAP for building load analysis. Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and Navisworks. Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software (PIPE-FLO or similar).
