||The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the overarching digital strategy, as well as managing the implementation of initiatives and projects to support the strategic plan.
The role requires a well-rounded digital executive - you will have a solid understanding of the online and digital marketing landscape, as well as exceptional technical knowledge coupled with demonstrable competency in managing complex development projects. You will be tasked with building and managing a digital team that includes social media, email, website and digital marketing.
In this global role you will work in Uniworld’s international offices, and be the global digital figurehead for the organisation. The role will cover all facets of digital activity, including digital engagement (social media marketing, content management and marketing), e-commerce activity, digital design (graphic and interface design), digital direct marketing (SEO, SEM, Affiliate Marketing, Social Advertising), and web development (managing designers/programmers, infrastructure management).
Work with the CEO, Global VP Digital, & VP Marketing to define and execute the company’s digital strategy in conjunction with Uniworld’s wider global marketing objectives
Build, manage and motivate a team of digital experts
Lead Uniworld’s digital direct marketing activities, including SEO, SEM, affiliate marketing, and social advertising.
Be responsible for Uniworld’s product content online, as well as the execution of ecommerce initiatives
Drive engagement with Uniworld’s core audience through the development of content, and a successful social media strategy
Managing a team of internal and agency project managers and development resources to priorities and deliver web projects on schedule and to budget, including:
• Website CMS development projects
• Development of industry standard and innovative website functionality
• Development of marketing campaign focused initiatives
• Interfacing with separate CRM, inventory and online booking systems
• On-going support and maintenance of the Uniworld website
Be responsible for driving growth of core KPI’s (including sales) through Uniworld’s digital channels (web, mobile, partnerships, etc.)
Manage the overall digital departmental budget
Work closely with global and regional marketing teams to ensure strategic direction as well as providing support for regional tactical needs
Oversee, guide, and approve visual design direction on digital properties
Work with external suppliers to identify and implement opportunities for cost savings, resourcing efficiencies, improved workflow processes, etc.
Provide leadership, direction, and technical expertise to design, develop, and support Uniworld’s digital properties
Work with the senior management team to advise on web and IT system requirements, trends, and best practice initiatives
Evaluate supplier proposals for hardware, software and technical services and make recommendations on project/product compatibility/feasibility
Organize and implement user groups, test plans, and success criteria for development projects
Stay informed of new industry developments and technology changes and incorporate them into the strategy as relevant
Other duties as required and assigned.
