Social Media/New Business Development Intern

Publication or Company  Quint & Quint
Industry  Marketing, Social Media
Salary Hourly
Benefits Flexible Hours
Job Duration Internship
Job Location Brooklyn, NY
Job Requirements You are a smart, driven, outgoing individual with a passion for creativity, a talent for social media, and an energetic spirit. You are pursuing (or have recently obtained) an undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field. You have a strong sense of professionalism and attention to detail (a typo on your résumé is a deal-breaker!). You are a problem solver with outstanding written and verbal communication skills and a core understanding of competitive business strategy and effective marketing solutions.

A genuine interest in writing, blogging, social media, marketing, and design is a must.

This is a unique opportunity to brainstorm, pitch, and be responsible for carrying out your own project ideas successfully. This is a real position—not one where we'll be just "finding stuff for you to do"… you'll only be limited by your ability and your desire to become involved.

Your responsibilities will include:
-crafting a content calendar and then developing/writing blog posts and online content that speaks to our brand and values
-managing and expanding our brand across relevant social media platforms
-brainstorming fresh solutions for inbound marketing
-working with others to gather and research new business leads

This is a PAID internship with an hourly rate commensurate with your experience and the skills you have to offer.

Starting: ASAP
Hours: Approximately 20-25 hours a week. We will work with you to develop a schedule that meets everyone’s needs but, once this schedule is built, it will be consistent from week to week.
About Our Company We are a very small direct marketing design and copy studio located in DUMBO (for those who don't know, DUMBO is a vibrant, creative community in Brooklyn that's one stop from Manhattan). We currently work with the Subscription Marketing departments of publishing companies to create materials that either obtain or keep readers and we're actively looking to expand into other industries (non-profits, for one). The bulk of our work is digital but there is also a heavy print component (figure a 75/25 mix).

We recognize that great ideas can come from anywhere and we foster a creative environment where such ideas are expected, encouraged, welcomed, and utilized. The right candidate will be limited only by their ability and their desire to grow.
