Job Description
We are seeking an ambitious social media maven with proven skills and experience in all forms of social and digital media. Being an outdoors enthusiast with a minor in fishing is highly desirable.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Ultimately, the job of the Social Media & Content Marketing Specialist is to think like both a direct marketer and publisher, leading the development of content initiatives that do more than “entertain.” You have to influence, activate, engage and optimize.
Coordinated development and distribution of Client content for the aforementioned Client brands across multiple communication channels, including, brand web sites, e-newsletters, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc. to maintain a consistent voice/message across all platforms for Client brands. Based on current contracts, you will be posting content for the aforementioned Clients on multiple social media platforms on a two(2) times daily minimum basis.

Develop and execute monthly editorial calendars for Client brands that will be used to shape content, promotion and customer interaction across all social channels and e-newsletters. You’ll bring our work to life in multiple assets, working against a strategic communications framework. You are an imaginative, experienced self-starter who is eager to strategically oversee and execute ideas that drive business. Leveraging performance media, display, social media, multimedia and strategic partnerships (affiliate marketing) will be key to expanded success in this role.


Essential Functions:
• Social media marketing, including but not limited to content calendars, daily posting, content creation, writing, editing and curation
• Work with our PR and content teams to develop compelling content for social, video and other digital media platforms
• Review new social media technologies and keep the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing that can open more opportunity

Required Skills:
Requires a combination marketing and digital mindset, with the most important aspect being to think “client first.” Specific skills required include:
• Experience working with brand guidelines and consistent messaging across multiple social media channels
• Working Knowledge of Hoot Suite or similar social media management platform
• Expertise in all major business software applications (Microsoft Office, etc.)

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or course of study required in Marketing/Journalism/English/Communications
• Highly organized, able to work and meet deadlines under pressure, with impeccable follow-through
• Able to multi-task when necessary, but also focus and not be too distracted by the “shiny objects” of internet marketing, in order to succeed in completing programs and tasks
