Job Requirements Cambridge University Press ELT is seeking an experienced Managing Editor to join an international team developing innovative ELT materials in video, print, and digital media for secondary-level learners of English. This temporary position is for 12 months, with a possibility of renewal for up to 12 further months.

Managing editors schedule and coordinate the work of authors, writers, vendors, and in-house and freelance editorial staff, collaborating with senior colleagues to ensure timely delivery of market-appropriate products. They monitor the overall content creation and project progress, manage budgets, and manage, motivate, and support staff on editorial teams.

Candidates for Managing Editor should have a bachelor’s degree and demonstrable success in managing complex, multi-component projects in a global publishing environment using project management software. A teaching and/or academic background in ELT (MATESOL or equivalent experience) is preferred. Experience in managing the development of digital components for online learning is a plus.

All candidates should have an excellent command of the English language, a demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently, and strong organizational and communication skills, together with enthusiasm, flexibility, and team spirit.
