Job Requirements
The Marketing Operations Manager of Account Promotions and Co-op is the day to day bridge between St. Martin’s Press and Macmillan Sales. In this role, the manager will effectively communicate the level and type of support best suited for each and every title for both print and eBooks, across all sales channels, including independents, chains, big box retailers, online retailers, ebook retailers, and special markets; the marketing manager will also help provide Sales the necessary tools, materials and hands-on support to achieve all of these goals.

Major Responsibilities:
- Work closely with sales in preparation for sales calls
- Review call reports and follow up on all action items
- Manage all co-op Solicitations (Print & Ebook) from National Accounts including requests to extend co-op
- Manage the creation of co-op Offers (Print & Ebook)
- Manage Seasonal Frontlist Special Offers (Print & Ebook)
- Initiate and Manage Backlist Special Offers (Print & Ebook)
- Oversee Amazon Vines coordination with Amazon Sales team and marketing teams
- Initiate Frontlist Special Editions (Signed books, Bookclub Editions, Premium eds., Library Eds.)
- Initiate creation and solicitation of floor displays, and prepacks
- Track and analyze point-of-sale (both Print & Ebook, frontlist & backlist) to maximize ROI on co-op, extend co-op and uncover sales anomalies for additional opportunities
- Manage Airport Strategy
- Primary Contact for IndieBound solicitations
- Manage the creation of mock-ups, sell sheets, sample pages, email blasts, etc. per sales request

Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and problem solving skills
• Love of books, and the retailers that sell books
• Love of working with others in a group think atmosphere
• Ability to multi-task and work within a fast paced environment
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite and publishing information systems
• Excellent with numbers and sales analysis

Experience Needed:
• 3-4 years experience in book sales or related field

Educational Background Required:
• College degree
