Job Requirements An iconic American fashion and lifestyle company has an opening for an on-staff Product Copywriter. The primary responsibility of the role is to write product copy to support the company’s ecommerce business. The ideal candidate should have excellent writing and copy-editing skills, a love for fashion and luxury branding, be creative, and also be able to meet deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.


Write ecommerce product copy across all brands and categories.

Own the entire copy process for assigned projects from start to finish; troubleshoot all copy issues that may arise throughout the process.

Coordinate with teammates to prioritize and manage workload and assignments.

Collaborate with creative, marketing, merchandising and business teams within the organization, as well as with external teams.

Work with creative, marketing, merchandising and business teams to understand, strategize and fulfill business and branding objectives by executing on-brand and accurate product copy.

Conduct periodic copy audits to ensure copy is accurate and properly uploaded.

Participate in showroom walkthroughs, review seasonal buys and work with internal teams to ensure familiarity with brand concepts and sensibilities for each of the deliveries.

Ensure accuracy of copy and content; proactively initiate improvements; copy edit as needed.

Work on special projects as needed.


Bachelor’s degree in English or Journalism (or comparable work experience).

1-2 years of copywriting and/or editorial experience, preferably in a fashion and/or lifestyle category; interest and experience in luxury brands and branded content a plus.

Exceptionally strong writing, editorial and copy-editing skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with database tools.

Strong conceptual skills with knowledge of how copy relates to design, graphics and concept inspiration.

Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to prioritize and work under multiple deadlines, and work independently as well as with a team.

A customer service–focused attitude.

Understanding of online media and metrics a plus; experience with Adobe design programs, photo research/editing, and web and ecommerce businesses also a plus.
