Position Title: Proposal/Pitch Strategist June, 2014
Reports to: Vice President, Marketing Job Category: Non Exempt
Location: Pleasant Prairie, WI
This position will be key in the engagement and development of new business opportunities through the primary responsibility of development of RFP/RFI documents, presentations and in-person presentations. Additionally, this person will be part of the MG marketing/magnify™ engagement marketing group and will lead and/or assist in the development of engagement marketing pitches and plans for prospects and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•THIS IS NOT A SALES POSITION, but you are an integral part of the team, assisting in proposing and winning business and the process that accompanies that.
•THIS IS NOT A TRADITIONAL MARKETING/BRAND MANAGER POSITION, but you will be integral in presenting the MG Brand through presentations and proposals.
•Business development leadership/support – RFP Proposal Writer ?Manage RFP/RFI process in conjunction with VP Marketing, VP Sales, AE, NBD, VP Creative, MG Management
?Develop Executive Summary for each opportunity and recommend process/team
?Develop working plan for incoming RFPs
?Source and write strategic responses for questions
?Direct or assist with research and development of specialty content
?Manage proofing process
?Work with design to develop appropriately formatted responses and related marketing tools
?Maintain and expand RFP library on ongoing basis
?Maintain database of wins/losses
?Participate in post win/post loss analysis and compile key learnings from each
•Business development leadership/support – Presentation Development ?Manage development of pitch-related presentations
?Work with AE/NBD to develop executive summary and pitch strategy for each presentation
?Participate with designated pitch teams and assist in assignment of deliverables and determination of appropriate presentation-related deliverables
?Develop and manage timelines
?Coordinate receipt of presentation assets from pitch team
?Provide direction to graphic and digital design teams for presentation development
?Oversee execution of additional presentation-related marketing assets
?Manage proofing process
?Participate in presentation/pitch where appropriate
?Manage evolution/updating of existing presentation assets as well as development of new elements.
•Engagement Marketing Strategy ?Assist with and/or lead opportunities with current clients or prospects to develop experiential plans featuring MG/magnify’s “Beyond the Booth” services.
?Perform tasks as available and as assigned; research, ideation, client deep dives, strategy formulation, pricing/proposal writing, collaboration with internal and external teams, presentation development, pitch process.
?Participate in internal and prospect/client meetings as appropriate.
•Misc. Marketing and Sales Support ?Assist in the compilation of research, data and deliverables for projects
?Assist VP Marketing in the development of non-pitch presentations
?Attend appropriate meetings
?Provide periodic progress reports to marketing and sales
?Misc. projects/initiatives as assigned

?Agency account/writing/strategy experience
?RFP/proposal/presentation writing in a complementary industry (architecture, design, etc.)
•Persistent in a professional manner
•College degree in related field required
•Marketing/business development/agency background and 3-5 years of related experience
