Duties
• Manage community of newswire writers, including recruitment, screening, training, and larger-scale collaborative projects.
• Coach authors to shape content, style and approach during the writing process to keep them on track and on target for delivery.
• Manage content delivery for symposia and educational events. Manage partnerships with networks.
• Develop and manage avenues for extending story reach through networks.
• Manage the annual survey process and editorial advisory committee.
• Manage special projects.
• Support editor-in-chief as needed.

About Our Company Nonprofit Quarterly (NPQ) is a publisher for the civil sector, including nonprofits and philanthropy. It publishes a highly regarded print journal on issues of management on a quarterly basis as well as a five day/week newswire that does trend tracking on the operating environment of nonprofits. This daily schedule depends upon a collaborative journalism model that engages practitioners and academics in content choice and development. NPQ’s content and revenue generation model depends highly on the engagement of its community of readers which this position will help engender.
