Job Requirements Show of Force, an award-winning New York City-based production company, is seeking a director of social media to work on a high profile trans-media project on global women's rights as well as additional projects.

Minimum of 5-7 years of prior experience, including managing a team, desired.

Responsibilities include overseeing and growing the project's social media presence (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, YouTube, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram, Storify, Vine), providing a consistent voice, and ensuring strict attention to detail and accuracy.

Upcoming events include a book release in the fall and PBS documentary series in January 2015, as well as ongoing projects with USAID and international NGOs. Qualified candidates will be able to manage ongoing projects with varying deadlines, have excellent computer literacy and basic HTML skills, as well as knowledge of WordPress and social media platforms. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and journalism experience a plus.

In addition, the director of social media will be responsible for overseeing outside projects for our growing social media division. Past projects include other films and television series and and an anti-gun violence campaign. The ability to think creatively, interface with clients, manage projects, and meet deadlines is essential.
