|About Our Company
||Code for America is helping build a government by the people, for the people, that works for everyone in the 21st century. Through our programs, educational and policy work we are building a network of cities, citizens, and community groups committed to reimagining civic society.
Code for America has grown from a small team with a big idea to an international network. As we expand, we’re committed to furthering our mission by expanding and deepening our relationships with cities and citizens.
We are looking for an amazing visual designer to create interfaces for the organization that are simple, beautiful, and easy to understand. You will work as key member of the marketing/communications team to help establish the look and feel for a range of materials including websites, apps, digital campaigns, and print materials, and everything else that needs to look beautiful and be functional. You will be in charge of “designing for America.”
The designer will work hand-in-hand with the fellowship teams, staff, and other programs coaching them on design principles, giving them feedback, and helping them grow.
Founded in 2009, Code for America (CfA) is a national nonprofit that partners with local governments and citizens to foster civic innovation. By working to reinvigorate civic participation, accelerate the civic startup marketplace, facilitate collaboration between government leaders, and build new tools that enhance and strengthen communities, CfA is helping governments solve old problems in new ways. CfA is working towards a government by the people, for the people, that works in the 21st Century -- and you can help.
