Background: Repairers of the Breach, Inc is a nonprofit organization based in Goldsboro, North Carolina, that seeks to build a moral agenda that uplifts our deepest moral and constitutional values to redeem the heart and soul of our country. We organize, train, and work with a diverse group of poor and low wage people, activists, and faith leaders from every US state and the District of Columbia who are rebuilding, raising, and repairing the moral infrastructure of our county. Today, our movement is expanding nationally through our work on the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival (PPC). Repairers of the Breach, along with the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice, are the anchoring organizations of the PPC: A National Call for Moral Revival.

Job Summary: 

As the Associate Digital Editor, Events you will join a dedicated team of activists, organizers, and communications leaders working to advance the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival and Repairers of the Breach. We work and organize alongside the nation's over 135 million poor and low-wage communities, social advocates and faith leaders to advance a moral public policy agenda that includes universal healthcare, living wages, LGBTQ justice and equality, women’s rights, environmental justice, amongst other issues.

The Associate Digital Editor, Events drafts and coordinates marketing materials for national events including fact sheets, event fliers, emails, and other digital marketing content. The Associate Digital Editor, Events serves as the primary digital engagement editor and helps drive engagement and mobilization across digital communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain communications department events calendar and meet with key programming staff weekly.
  • Draft fact sheets and messaging materials for events.
  • Implement and coordinate event marketing materials, which may include event pages, press materials, social media content, emails, and print fliers.
  • Implement digital engagement toolkits and coordinate digital engagement activities for national events.
  • Implement digital engagement strategy to drive mobilization and grow online audiences.
  • Contribute to weekly and monthly digital impact reports.
  • Implement digital organizing toolkits for state movement groups and co-facilitate digital organizing trainings.

Applicants should have at least 6+ years experience working as a digital engagement editor, associate digital editor, and/or events marketing professional. Successful candidates will have past experience coordinating and managing the creation of marketing materials alongside diverse teams; a meticulous attention to detail; experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software; and knowledge of web analytics and Google Analytic tools. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have skills using a variety of automated systems such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel Spreadsheets and related applications. Applicants should have familiarity with issues of poverty, social justice movements and/or experience working within advocacy organizations or related campaigns.
