The Customer Intelligence team in the Data and Analytics org builds innovative data products, data analysis, data engineering, deep data science & modeling and data driven intelligence around our customers' usage, adoption and engagement behaviors, which in turn is used to help them better adopt their products and realize value from their investment in Salesforce.

We are looking for a Lead Data Visualization Engineer to be part of the Success Pillar in the Data and Analytics organization! As a member of this team you will have the opportunity to work on a broad array of data domains and technologies, analyzing large data sets and providing critical insights that empower our business partners formulate key strategies, improve business processes that drive product adoption & growth, renewals, professional services, and more through a data driven approach. You will both dive deep into the data, uncovering the critical insights, as well as build compelling visualizations to facilitate the democratization of our data and insights! The results of your work will help Salesforce scale customer success, improving customer health and dedication to Salesforce and ultimately reducing attrition and driving growth.

Responsibilities:Interpret data, analyzing results using statistical techniques and providing ongoing reportsUnderstand the interplay between various data sources, Salesforce analytics platform and customer needsUnderstand customer context in depth and translate it to outputs. Wear a business hat and deliver solutions that fit business needs while simultaneously working across the engineering, data science and data services teamsDrive the design and delivery of analytics deliverables (scorecards, weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting, deep-dive analysis, ad hoc analysis, analytics strategies, stakeholder enablement) ensuring quality and rigor of analysisDevelop and implement a framework for data collection, data analytics and other strategies that optimize efficiency and qualityBe a good communicator who can present their data analysis/findings in a clear and concise mannerBe very comfortable extracting data from a wide range of sources (excel, database, hadoop, etc) and develop insightful charts, dashboards and reportsBe excellent at story telling of visual dataLocate and define new process improvement opportunitiesBe very good in documenting the analysis, results and data processes, which can be reused by the teamBe a phenomenal teammate who thrives in a diverse global teamBe very passionate about quality and have a solid sense of ownership on the work accomplishedHave a high sense of urgency to respond to data queries/issues or deliver data requestsBe proactive, well-organized, and have solid attention to detailRequired Skills and Experience:8+ years of work experience in sales strategy, product management, or management consulting with strong exposure to data viz strategy and executionProven ability in writing sophisticated database queries in any SQL language (Oracle, MySQL, etc)Advanced data analytics and modeling skills using tools such as SQL, Python, Tableau, R, and/or Business Objects (or similar analytical packages)Proficiency with Tableau, Einstein CRM, Conversational analyticsKnowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets and experience with data models, data mining and segmentation techniquesStrong analytical skills along with ability to work independently with limited supervisionExperience with any analytics/reporting tools like Tableau, Business Objects, Spotfire, QlikView, etc is desirable.Exposure and understanding of relational databases, BI and data warehousingExperience working with a global team in multiple locationsSalesforce experience/certification is a huge plusA related technical degree requiredAccommodationsIf you require assistance due to a disability applying for open positions please submit a request via this Accommodations Request Form.Posting StatementAt Salesforce we believe that the business of business is to improve the state of our world.
