About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and dedicated engineer to join the GPU Platform Architecture Team. This team explores advanced next-generation GPU architectures for iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. Your analytical skills and collaboration will help deliver optimal solutions to our customers. In this visible role, you will work across disciplines on chip design, impacting the delivery of high-performance products to millions.
Responsibilities
- Work with architecture, design, and software teams on defining and tuning Apple's future GPU power architectures.
- Develop C++ and Python code for GPU modeling to understand and improve GPU power architecture.
- Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL designers, and software teams to assess hardware and software power features, conduct experiments, and report findings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in GPU or CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
- Proficiency in C/C++ and a scripting language such as Python or Ruby
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in large, cross-functional teams
- Experience in power modeling, power management, or device power optimization
- Experience with adaptive or machine learning algorithms
- Strong interpersonal skills and creativity for solving design challenges
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
- 20+ years of relevant experience
- Willingness to travel internationally 3-5 times a year
- Ability to work with complex designs from architecture to production
