Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and dedicated engineer to join the GPU Platform Architecture Team. We drive advanced exploration for next-generation GPU architectures across iPhone, iPad, and Mac products. This role requires strong analytical skills and close collaboration to deliver the best solutions to our customers. You will be central to chip design efforts, working with all disciplines to bring high-performance products to millions of users quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Work with architecture, design, and software teams on defining and tuning Apple’s future GPU power architectures.
  • Develop C++ and Python code, build and maintain GPU models to understand and enhance power architecture.
  • Collaborate with GPU architects, RTL designers, and software teams to assess hardware and software power features, run experiments, and report findings.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Apple’s world-class GPU team to develop and improve GPU modeling and features for power architecture.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in GPU or CPU architecture and micro-architecture design
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages such as Python or Ruby

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in large cross-functional teams
  • Experience in power modeling, active power management, or device power optimization
  • Experience with adaptive or machine learning algorithms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and creativity to solve design challenges
  • Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • 20+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to travel internationally 3-5 times a year
  • Ability to work with complex designs from architecture to production
