Description

We are looking for talented, creative, and disciplined engineers to join our top-tier team, which plays a significant role in developing new silicon for Apple's ecosystem. This involves working in a dynamic, collaborative environment with the following focus areas:

  1. Understanding components/modules within wireless communication systems.
  2. Designing PHY firmware architecture, including calibrations, real-time processing, collaboration with RF hardware, microcode, and MAC layer.
  3. Creating efficient designs that deliver high performance while optimizing power and memory, meeting real-time latency requirements.
  4. Debugging real-time systems using development boards and lab equipment.
  5. Collaborating with Radio, MAC, and Systems engineering teams to develop algorithms, calibrations, and protocols.
  6. Supporting pre-silicon validation, including simulation, emulation, and FPGA prototyping.
  7. Developing SoC test and calibration capabilities for manufacturing.
  8. Supporting post-silicon validation, performance testing, system integration, and debugging.
  9. Automating calibration and verification processes using test harnesses.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with wireless systems and protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, LTE, or NR.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills for technical challenges during design, development, and maintenance.
  • Strong embedded software fundamentals, including design and development workflows, real-time constraints, concurrency, multi-processor systems, caching, and virtual memory.
  • Deep understanding of data structures, object-oriented design, and system architecture in embedded environments.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with low-level hardware interfaces, register and interrupt programming, bare-metal software development, clock and power management.
  • Experience with version control (GIT, Perforce), continuous integration, unit and regression testing.
  • Knowledge of RF and analog components is desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Highly organized, motivated, proactive, and passionate about results.

Pay & Benefits

Apple offers a total compensation package, with a base pay range between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Employees can participate in stock programs, receive benefits like medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursement, and may be eligible for bonuses or relocation assistance.
