(Did we mention our Defined Benefit Pension Plan, sabbaticals, and wellbeing benefit?).The Senior Consultant collaborates closely with clients and Segal colleagues performing project leadership roles for a broad range of corporate, public sector and non-profit entities. The Senior Consultant is effective in a client facing advisory role and possesses complex project management and client relationship development skills. The Senior Consultant is capable of navigating the client organization at multiple levels and building influential rapport as a trusted advisor with both client employees and practice colleagues. The Senior Consultant demonstrates leadership through the consistent delivery of high quality, timely work product to clients; effectively leading and supporting initiatives to grow revenue and profitability by maximizing consulting opportunities with existing clients and contributing to the development of intellectual capital and practice knowledge and development of consulting staff.

Key Responsibilities:



Plans, designs, staffs and manages client projects; develops implementation strategies and, coordinates and monitors effective project execution and service delivery.



Manages and maintains client relationships at the Vice President of Human Resources and Business Unit Levels, evolving to executive and “C” level contact and relationship building.



Leads and/or participates in business development efforts for new and existing clients to achieve or exceed assigned revenue and profitability goals.



Contributes to practice development through thought leadership ( e.g.,

identifying or developing best practices and, improvements to methods and analytical techniques, enhancing and expanding the practice’s knowledge inventory, etc.), publication and public speaking.



Contributes to the development of staff resources through coaching, mentoring, and/or supervising as well as emulating leadership behavior.



Advising clients on the design and implementation of strategic planning, organizational assessment and design, organizational and process efficiency and organizational transformation/change management.



Planning, scoping, budgeting, resourcing and leading multiple projects that in some instances will be complex and interdisciplinary in nature.



Acting as a lead or primary interface with the client, responsible for the day-to-day relationship and advising activities.



Performing as a subject matter expert providing technical advice and counsel to colleagues and clients on the myriad of topics: strategic planning, organizational assessment and design, organizational and process efficiency and organizational transformation/change management.



Collaborating with colleagues on marketing, selling and other asset-building initiatives to grow revenue and profitability.Key Requirements:Academic:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Advanced degree preferred with a concentration in Business, Economics, or Behavioral Science.Years of experience : 5 years of experience in a role developing relevant expertise and skills; professional service firm experience required, experience may include performing in relevant roles within a corporate environment demonstrating leadership, facilitation, project management and other capabilities and skills.Work experience :

Strong knowledge and/or expertise in strategic planning, organization assessment, organizational effectiveness and development, business strategy and cultural change management; experience consulting to or within the higher education industry a plus.Demonstrated consulting/advisory, analytical, problem-solving and creative solution development skills.Demonstrated project leadership, project management and execution skills with a track record of achieving desired outcomes.Experience applying expertise within diverse industries in the middle market corporate, higher education, and non-for-profit areas.

Technologies : Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and use relevant data applications.

The current salary range for this position is $124,500-$150,000 plus opportunity for a discretionary performance bonus based on company profitability and employee performance.
