Job Summary

Director of Finance for CAPEX & Special Projects will be reporting directly to the VP, Planning & Control.  In this role, the ideal candidate will be able to autonomously work on budgeting and forecasting, month-end close, and serve as go-to resource for business leaders in achieving their operational and financial goals.  

Responsibilities

Budget/forecast  

  • Responsible for the development of strategic and financial aspects of annual budget/ monthly forecast  
  • Work collectively with business leaders to reflect operational and financial goals of the company  
  • Create presentations, which clearly speaks to the financials, strategy, and goals  

Month End Close    

  • Work closely with accounting department to ensure accurate and consistent recording of CAPEX and expenses  
  • Produce monthly CAPEX financial consolidation reporting   
  • Analyze and explain monthly variances by CAPEX Projects  
  • Prepare and present various monthly schedules to reflect Project level   
  • A resource for business leaders to help achieve operational and financial goals   
  • Update and review analysis outlining outcome vs plan and review with business leaders  
  • Develop solutions to deviations to align back with original plan  
  • Work with business leaders to identify saving opportunities and efficiencies  
  • Ensure operating departments are adhering to company policies and procedures  
  • Foster effective information flow and communication to ensure financial results and reports are consistent  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.  Master’s degree is a plus  
  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience with strong analytical skills and can take accountability/ownership to drive results  
  • Ability to adapt to changes in scope of position  
  • Cultivate cooperative working relationship, a team player, self-starter, adhere to deadlines while ensuring a high level of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and quality  
  • Great interpersonal skills, excellent verbal & written communication, organize, attention to details, and can multitask  
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast pace environment  
  • Fast learner with the ability to identify problems and seek solutions  
  • Willing to be flexible and work hard to support business needs  
  • Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and proficient in Oracle, Hyperion, and Essbase

Salary ranges are supplied in compliance with New York State law.  Pay is competitive and based on a number of job-related factors, including skills and experience. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in New York is $141,372.00  - $232,254.00 / year. The starting pay rate/range at time of hire for this position in Texas is $141,372.00 - $232,254.00 / year. For other locations, please inquire with your recruiter.
