Who We AreLifeSmart Education is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that enhances the availability of nontraditional educational classes and resources for underserved youth and communities. We help those who need unwavering, positive life management skills. Youth aren't born knowing the life skills that we wish they did; they must be taught and molded into productive members of society. At LifeSmart Education we teach youth how to be socially and emotionally successful and enable them to achieve their highest potential as law-abiding global citizens.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Volunteer Grant Writer who wants to help with the mission of a small nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate is an articulate, self-motivated, proactive, and organized individual.

The position could lead to a part-time paid role in the future.Volunteers will be working remotely from anywhere within the United States.ResponsibilitiesResearch, identify, and apply for public and private grant opportunities that are applicablePrepare first drafts of grant proposals and grant applicationsAssist with other fundraising projects as neededQualifications1+ years of grant writing experience preferredMust have the ability to understand the grant writing processAbility to understand and execute complex instructionsExcellent writing and grammar skillsExcellent research and proofreading skillsBachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field and/or related experience (Preferred)To learn more about LifeSmart Education (LSE) please visit https://lifesmarteducation.org/
