Position Overview:

The Manager, Brand & Communications at The Ned NoMad is a pivotal role responsible for crafting and defining the hotel and private member's brand identity, ensuring a vibrant community experience. This role is essential in maximizing the hotel and Club's culture, creating a distinct and unforgettable brand experience. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for style, design, and excels in building and nurturing community relationships.

Because of the fluctuating demands of the company’s operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other employees are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Brand & Creative Management:

a. Maintain and uphold brand standards, preserving the hotel's unique identity.

b. Conduct brand onboarding sessions for new employees effectively communicating brand guidelines and our values, vision, and mission.

c. Oversee creative initiatives to enhance the brand's image and overall experience.

d. Research and assess current brand positioning, developing unique solutions that resonate with hotel guests. e. Develop and maintain consistency of collateral, signage, and physical brand touchpoints.

f. Manage photography, video, and graphic design productions.

Collaborate with Agencies & Cross-Functional Teams

a. Collaborate closely with PR agency on Press Tours, Press Stays, Press Events Brand Partnerships, and Influencer Management.

b. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Membership, Digital Marketing, Content and Social Media) to ensure availability of stories, assets, and information for successful marketing.

c. Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including Managing Director, Front Desk, Food & Beverage, Sales, Housekeeping and Engineering teams, to ensure a cohesive and impactful brand experience.

Hotel & Membership Communications

a. Assist in copywriting for membership and hotel communication platforms.

b. Assist in planning annual events calendar for key milestones dates.

c. Monitor member feedback and adjust communication strategies accordingly.

d. Liaise with Group Head of Membership and membership team for member bi-weekly newsletters.

e. Curate and coordinate local app push notifications.

f. Act as the point of contact for all onsite digital requirements.

Brand Events & Activations

a. Manage brand activations and events in non-member outlets, that create added value and memorable moments for guests.

b. Support membership team as needed with member events

Job Requirements:

Minimum 3+ years of experience in hotel or creative/brand management roles.

Strong knowledge of the local neighborhood and city.

Excellent customer service skills.

Clear understanding of brand concepts and marketing mix.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Excellent time management skills.

Working Conditions/Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The person having this responsibility may have to lift up to 20lbs on an occasional basis.

The person having this position may have to sit for eight (8) hours, stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for one (1) hour per day.
