The Basics:

The Senior Director, Product Marketing – Microsoft will lead all joint product and marketing content, positioning and programs with Microsoft. This role will collaborate closely with our internal Alliances, Marketing and Sales leadership on product launches/updates, marketing programs, sales motions in alignment with our Microsoft partnership initiatives. The successful candidate will be highly creative and analytical with a strong mix of technical and business acumen to showcase their demonstrated ability to go beyond product features and functions to create value-driven stories that expand our “Better Together” narrative.

What you’ll do:

Act as the primary product marketing owner assigned to Microsoft to help create and deliver compelling joint solutions to market.

Develop, curate, and evangelize our Tanium/Microsoft relationship value propositions, “better together” stories, and assets to our partner marketing and sales teams to support our ‘meet in the channel’ strategy.

Identify target personas, understand their key business problems and pain points and articulate Tanium+Microsoft value proposition to drive desired outcomes.

Produce collateral, including white papers, solution briefs, Win Wires, presentations (.ppt), Website materials, other positioning, and branding materials.

Leverage the full capabilities of our strategic relationship to ensure maximum go-to-market success of joint solutions.

Collaborate closely with Alliance, Marketing, and Sales leadership on product launches / updates, marketing programs, and sales motions.

Execute on a solutions-marketing based approach and deliver integrated content that drives pipeline

Educate the sales team through delivering engaging sales training and enablement

We’re looking for someone with:

Education

BA or BS in Marketing, or equivalent experience required

MBA preferred

Experience:

10+ years experience in product marketing in the B2B technology industry with 2+ years in a senior Technology Alliance product marketing or business development role

Experience in Endpoint or Security management solutions required

Partner marketing and Technology Alliances marketing a plus

Experience understanding technology at a deep level and ability to simplify and translate features and functions into customer centric business outcomes

Solid experience in creating compelling content and narratives out of complex topics for both internal and external consumption

Experience working in a highly matrixed, global marketing and product organization

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Skills:

Strong analytical, business, and product development skills

Entrepreneurial mindset, execution oriented and the ability to operate in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision

Project management skills and strong attention to details. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication and executive presentation skills. Strong ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally

Team player with proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional and cross-company teams

What you’ll get

The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $175,000 to $530,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
