Job Summary:

KaiHonua, LLC has an immediate opening for a Video Teleconference (VTC)Technician. The VTC Technician supports mission-critical media operations and communications for our government customer that is responsible for providing IT services and support. The VTC Technician will be responsible for supporting communication events and facilitating and coordinating connections of various media resources to stand up Video Teleconference (VTC) and UC connections across geographically disperse locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

(Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:Schedule and manage telephone meetings using phone conference, VTC, and UC systemsTroubleshoot problems such as joining, conducting, and participating in phone conference, VTC, and UC meetingsSupport various operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks for a variety of media systems, including live and delayed streaming broadcastsPerform system integrity and connectivity tests to ensure system availabilityAssess and report on performance and usage numbersEnsure compliance with policies and procedures including DoD STIG requirementsDevelop and maintain documentation of all processes associated with administration of the network and duties performed by network & system administratorsOther duties as assignedKnowledgeDemonstrated knowledge of VTC technology and equipment and coordinating VTC type meetings across multiple sites.Customer service skills, and experience fielding and troubleshooting customer questions and issuesExperience supporting communications/media systems such as: phone conference systems, VTC systems, UC interfaces, live and delayed streaming video, and digital signage technologiesExperience with Video Teleconference (VTC) and Unified Communications (UC) technologiesExperience with media/VTC/UC vendors and technologies such as Polycom, Microsoft Lync (Skype for Business), VBrick, Sonus, Cisco, Ectocryp, Acano, etc.Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory/GPO integration with SCCMPossesses good knowledge of different software systems, client/server architectures and various compatibility requirements.Experience in troubleshooting, software development processes and ability to understand and implement client requirements.AbilitiesAbility to organize, prioritize and meet deadlinesCapable of conveying complex information in a simplistic mannerStrong critical thinking and problem solving skillsStrong self-starter requiring minimal supervisionAble to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by natureStrong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposalsQualifications

Education and/or ExperienceAssociates' Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred1+ years of experience performing VTC systems administration functions preferredPhysical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.

Position may require a DoD security clearance. Must be a US citizen.
