Housing Inspector, at any level, to join their team as a Supervisor. Exciting opportunity to work for a great organization!

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree with coursework in management, public or business administration, or related field and three (3) years of experience in project management with knowledge of housing codes and inspections and/or HUD. HQS Certification is preferred. Valid Drivers License required. You will need to obtain

your HQS Certification within the first few months of starting this role if you don't already have one.

This will be a Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm position.

Job Details

Essential DutiesCoordinates the day-to-day activities of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program housing inspections operations.Supervises and schedules work of staff; interviews, makes hiring recommendations, and trains employees; assigns work and monitors progress; develops employees’ skills and encourages growth and development; addresses personnel issues in conjunction with appropriate leadership in Human Resources; assigns and monitors all housing inspections work activity; provides leadership and subject matter expertise to all assigned team members.Oversees and maintains the control system for the assigned Housing Quality Standards Inspection caseloads to ensure that inspections are performed, and follow-up activity is completed on a timely basis.Monitors and assigns all contracted inspections related activities, to ensure compliance with HUD regulations and DHA policies being responsible for receipt and maintenance of all inspections related documentation forwarded from contracted inspections agency.Coordinates the preparation of detailed inspection documentation for assisted dwelling units in accordance with Federal and State regulations, rules, standards and statutes.
