Summary

The Ticket Writer is an important role for our Pasta-making organization. As a Ticket Writer at Dakota Growers Pasta Co., you will be responsible for operating stretch wrapping and labeling equipment. This role verifies inventory produced matches inventory scanned into our Warehouse. You will work closely with Forklift Operators to ensure accurate scanning and timely delivery of packaging materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

:

• Operates stretch wrapping equipment at maximum efficiency, ensuring all pallets are wrapped properly with the correct pattern

• Operates Markem labeling equipment, ensuring all pallets are scanned and labeled properly, with legible labels, and informs proper personnel of case print/scanning issues

• Monitor and assist with robot operations

• Monitor schedule and production report to ensure underruns/overruns are minimized

• Reconcile production with Warehouse and Machine Operators during, and at the end of every shift and review and approve production upon completion of product run/shift

• Maintains proper documentation of downtime and repairs and performs minor repairs and routine maintenance work on wrappers and labelers

• Inventories consumable packaging materials

• Informs QA of product changeovers

• Coordinates packaging material handling requirements with Warehouse and Packaging personnel as needed

• Maintains cleanliness of equipment always, inspect and conduct deep cleaning of equipment regularly. Follow appropriate guidelines, SOPs, and manufacturing practices when completing cleaning or manufacturing responsibilities

• Partner with company leadership to proactively identify and execute on continuous improvement opportunities in the areas of: safety, food safety, quality, productivity, and sanitation

• Other duties, as assigned

Education and Experience Required:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution

• Must be able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

• Computer experience

• Math skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Inventory experience

• Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility

Physical Requirements:

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:

• Must be able to balance, stand, and work in high heat/humidity for 8+ hours per shift

• Must be able to feel and use fine motor skills for 3+ hours per shift

• Must be able to push and pull and perform simple grasping for 6+ hours per shift

• Must be able to lift up-to 10 pounds for 8+ hours per shift

• Must be able to lift 11-34 pounds for 6+ hours per shift

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds for 3+ hours per shift and anything over 50 pounds will require team assistance or mechanical lifting devices

• Must be able to reach above shoulders, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel and sit for 3+ hours per shift

• Must be able to climb and work of ladder for 3+ hours per shift

• Must be able to walk and work in a dusty environment for 6+ hours per shift

• Must be able to make fine distinctions in sound, distinguish objects and equipment visually, and express or exchange ideas by spoken or written word
