The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating email marketing and text message campaigns including donation forms and analytics for all corps throughout the Great Lakes Division that target Salvation Army donors and volunteers. This person is responsible for developing campaigns with insight from our Territorial Corporate office, deploying email and text message campaigns and providing analytics for these campaigns. This person is also responsible for providing social media oversight to corps in collaboration with the Director of Integrated Marketing.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in planning, writing, editing, and designing email communications including fundraising emails, volunteer and planned giving newsletters.Ensure marketing message is conveyed clearly and delivered properly to donors and volunteers.Plan local email campaigns around territorial email strategy.Work with Creative Services Manager and Web Content Specialist to ensure all assets needed for email are completed.Ensure messages are sent in proper form and template.Proofread emails for clarity, grammar, and spelling.Segment email send lists based on all email campaigns through the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.Stay up to date on social media, email, and text message marketing best practices.Develop and deploy text messaging campaigns from beginning to end.Create Classy donation/Peer-To-Peer/event forms as needed, and during peak months for Christmas and annual Radiothon event.Provide monthly reports that track email and text message performance.Assist in vendor relationships relating to email and text message communication.Additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Education/Experience:Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, Digital Media or Communications, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.2+ years of email marketing or digital fundraising experience.Non-profit experience is desired but not required.Photography and graphic design skills are a plus.Must make a professional commitment to embrace and advance The Salvation Army's mission.

Computer Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office 365.Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint.Must have an intermediate (or better) understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop experience required.Experience with Classy, Rally Corp (or different SMS platform) a plus.Must he highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Knowledge of Google Analytics, email reporting and make efficient recommendations based on data.Willingness to learn new software as needed.

Certificates and Licenses:Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current asMust have and maintain a current valid driver's license and pass the Salvation Army Motor Vehicle Record check (MVR).Google Analytics Certification required.Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop a plus.
