The Digital Marketing Strategist is a member of the central communications and marketing division and is responsible for creating, managing, optimizing, and reporting for paid digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and generate leads and enrollment. This role requires a deep understanding of pay-per-click (PPC) advertising platforms such as Google Ads, display, and social platforms, in addition to search engine marketing (SEM).

This position works closely with undergraduate and graduate enrollment management, web development/IT, academic colleges, advancement, and continuing professional education to accomplish university goals. This position also has a management function in supervising student staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides daily management of paid digital marketing campaignsDevelops, executes, and manages PPC campaigns across various channelsConducts keyword research to guide content teamsOptimizes landing pages for search engine marketingMonitors performance and adjust campaigns to gain better return-on-investmentKeeps abreast with PPC and SEM trends and developmentsProduces reports for management (e.g., dashboards)Provides leadership, management, and training for student employeesLeads centralized digital marketing support for campus including prepare and delivering workshops and one-on-one trainingsParticipates in committees and task forces as neededIdentifies and participates in appropriate professional development activitiesOther duties as assignedThe ideal candidate will possess the following:

Proven skills in managing PPC campaignsAnalytical thinking with strong math skillsExcellent communication skillsKnowledge of HTML and XML is a plusKnowledge of SEO and digital marketing conceptsWorking knowledge of analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.)Abilities with platforms including Google Ads and socialAbilities in data analysis and reportingAbilities with Google Tag ManagerAbilities with multiple platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social, etc.) is preferredProficient abilities in MS Office (particularly Excel)Review of applications will begin

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, digital media, or related field; 2 years' experience in digital marketing including:

Managing PPC campaigns, specifically Google Ads and Google Tag ManagerExperience in data analysis and reportingExperience with analytics tools (Google Analytics, Tableau, Looker Studio, etc.)Proficient in Office 365 (particularly Excel and Teams)Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years' experience in digital marketing including:

Understanding of HTML and XML is a plusFamiliarity with multiple platforms (e.g., Google Ads, social, etc.) is preferredGoogle Ads certification is a plus
