PRIMARY FUNCTION

Work with lead designer on technology portion of projects to remain responsive, exceed client expectations, meet multi-disciplinary objectives, and adhere to project budget and schedule requirements. Assist lead designer to prepare designs for technology systems and provide support during project construction administration phase.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIESSupport the delivery of Information technology, electronic safety and security, and audio-visual system projects from planning stages to completion under the supervision of the Lead Designer/Engineer.Mission Critical experience preferred.Observe BICSI, AVIXA, and ASIS standards and industry best practices in design and product utilization.Understand the design intent and assist with its documentationWork closely with internal company disciplines providing design to achieve full coordination from inception to project completion.Develop cabinet layouts, equipment rack elevations and jack-field layouts, etc.Assist with required code research for project assignmentsAssist with material and product research as required for project developmentParticipate in internal and/or external project meetings as required by scope and scheduleCoordinate with the team as directed to provide written documentation where neededAssist with responding to requests for information and submittal reviews under the direction of the Lead Designer/Engineer.Participate in technical reviews through all phases of the project to meet HED expectations for quality and project performanceOther assignments as directed by the project team or supervisorSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree preferred.Commitment to taking Registered Communication Distribution Designer (RCDD) designation exam.Interest in and enthusiasm for sustainable design strategies.Level of experience from newly graduated to five yearsAbility to work virtually and communicate efficiently across geographies with multiple project teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong organizational skillsExperience with AutoCAD and Revit preferredVery detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexibleAbility to work well with others under deadline situationsA commitment to the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.A desire to work at an organization where growth and positive impact is crucial.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Capable of traveling to and from project sites to attend client, project, and construction meetingsAbility to access existing and new project sites for the purposes of project observation, investigation, and evaluation.Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes.Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
