Sunnyvale, CA. (On-site)Position Overview:Do you love problem solving and thinking beyond an obvious solution? Do you thrive in ambiguity and teams where little direction should fuel your creativity?We are looking for a seasoned data scientist to lead econometric analysis projects such as experimentation, marketing mix modeling, time series and regression-based methods, customer level probability modeling, product analytics etc... The ideal candidate is a self-starter with marketing science experience along with a wide range of technical skills.Qualifications:Business Skills:Seasoned data scientist with 8+ years of experience in econometrics and time series modeling, marketing mix models, causal impact, and other regression-based methods.

Design and execute experiments to assess the impact of website, email, and app store changes on key business metrics.

Collaborate with Data science stakeholders to develop and implement nonexperimental regression based causal methods and analytics frameworks for incrementality assessment.

Lead statistical modeling efforts to support decision enablement, and ability to rationalize business interpretation of modeling results.

Excellent communicator with good presentation skills, to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Understanding of product analytics, marketing analytics, and understanding of different channels (both digital and offline) measurement, methodologies, and industry standards.

Self-starter can take a project from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Flexibility to deal with rapidly changing, time-constrained launch schedules.

Highly detail-oriented, organized, and outcome oriented.

Technical Skills:Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts (probability, multi-variate testing), experimental design, and measurement methodologies, particularly econometrics and regression-based techniques

Proficient in statistical software (ex. R, Python or similar) and familiarity with relevant libraries

Solid knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques (ex. Arima, Bayesian, Logistic Ridge regression, XG boost) and other algorithms, and integration into analytics workflows

Strong working knowledge of SQL, Teradata and Snowflake preferred.

Proficiency with Tableau and other Data Visualization and understanding of end state user experience/usability is a plus.

Education:Advanced degree (Masters+) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $90,000 to $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.Benefits:As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time.
