The ideal candidate has experience designing user journeys, mockups, and prototypes optimized for a wide rand of devises and interfaces. Expectations include supporting the efficient migration and digital experience throughout the project's lifecycle.Responsibilities:Identify solutions to customer problems based on validated insights from the User Research teamManage the planning, design, and implementation of multiple sites and applications across multiple clients simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentCollaborate with team of developers, engineers customer to define, design, and implement innovative, beautiful, intuitive digital solutions for use by our federal customer and their stakeholdersCollaborate with UX and design research specialists in the analysis of user research to inform the design of highly usable web pages, application interfaces, and other dynamic solutionsCreate wireframes, storyboards, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas for websites, applications, and other digital solutionsCreate scalable design resources to aid in project collaboration and the expansion of creative services
Requirements:Minimum Education: BS/BA degree (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent)Minimum Experience: 6-8 years’ experience in related fieldDesired Qualifications:5+ years combined professional design experience (UI Design, Graphic Design, CX/UX, Design Research)Strong online portfolio that showcases the candidate’s ability to make research-driven decisions in the design of responsive web and mobile applicationsResults-oriented problem solver with high standards for quality, accuracy, attention to detail, and overall excellenceStrong understanding of the life cycle process of website development (discovery, planning, design, requirements, coding, testing, and user testing and evaluation)Strong understanding of user interface design standardsExperience designing web and mobile applications that are compliant with 508 and US Web Design System (USWDS) standardsExperience prioritizing features while accounting for user goals and business requirementsExperience carrying designs from start to finish, from wireframes to delivery of final high-fidelity UI mockupsExperience establishing and maintaining rapid customer feedback loops to inform design at critical stagesSelf-starter, motivated, confident, and can work independently as well as in a team environmentSuccess on projects designed from scratch as well as redesigns for established platforms or productsAdvanced proficiency in Adobe XD, InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopExcellent interpersonal and client-focused skills—interacts well with all levels of staff and partners with a positive and enthusiastic attitudeAdvanced coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, and JS)Experience using Agile methodology to manage projectsExperience creating and modifying data visualizationsExperience evaluating existing systems and processes to identify UI issues and develop UI recommendationsUnderstanding of user research methodologies, user-centered design principles, and frameworksUnderstanding of user personas, user flows, affinity mapping, and other research toolsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteRIVA Solutions is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
