Position: Junior Web Development Specialist
Join our dynamic Digital Communications team as a Junior Web Development Specialist, focusing on harnessing your skills in HTML, CSS, and jQuery. In this role, you'll contribute to our digital landscape by working within a Content Management System (CMS), predominantly utilizing Salesforce. As a key member of our team, you'll be mentored by the manager to create high-performance websites, emails, templates, and digital assets that prioritize usability, accessibility, and adherence to standards.
Requirements:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.At least 1 year of professional experience in web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or related technologies.Preferred experience in implementing content managed sites through widely used CMS platforms like Drupal, Joomla, or similar.Familiarity with web editors (e.g., BBEdit, Sublime, etc.) and graphics software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.Desired capability in designing and crafting graphical user interfaces for websites.Knowledge of Sphere CMS is advantageous.An extra edge with experience in client management.
Your Skills:
Proficient in creating compliant and semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Strong grasp of web accessibility and usability, encompassing cross-platform and browser compatibility challenges.Exceptional analytical prowess, enabling you to visualize a strategic path and orchestrate its successful execution.Basic familiarity with programming languages like Python, PHP, or Ruby is a plus.Knowledge about front-end frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, or Vue.js is beneficial.Acquainted with responsive web design principles.Fundamental understanding of back-end development, databases, and integration of APIs.Proficiency in utilizing design tools like Adobe Photoshop or Sketch.
