We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Developer with a strong focus on Shopify Plus to join our Digital Product & E-commerce team at MERIT. As a pivotal member of the team, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing our online presence. This role requires theme and app development expertise in Shopify Plus, demonstrating a deep understanding in customizing and enhancing the platform to meet the unique needs of our business.

Though you will be reporting to the Director of Digital Product & E-commerce, this role requires that you work closely with marketing and creative teams. Responsibilities:

Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Meritbeauty.comCollaborate with team in creating and development new features, app integrations, and custom theme updates to the Shopify Plus storesCreate comprehensive technical documentation and lead internal-facing demos for digital productsDocument existing and new customizations and workflows that impact our existing tech stackCommunicate with the Director of Digital Product & E-commerce and other key stakeholders on the status of projects on a daily basisInvestigate the capabilities of tools, apps, or integrations that could be used to satisfy the requirements of a digital productImplement advanced debugging techniques and usage of browser developer toolsProvide technical feedback and estimates based off roadmap scoping meetings and projects kickoffsDevelop front-end features based on designs and prototypes from web-based tools like FigmaOwn technical and engineering requirements with the Director of Digital Product & E-commerceCollaborate and mentor developers to complete code review, address feedback and ensure code quality improvements provided by teamFamiliarity with version control systems (GIT) and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)Collaborate with Director of Digital Product & E-commerce on a lean tech stack with speed and performance in mindRequirements:

3-5 years experience working at an e-commerce business on Shopify PlusExpertise with Shopify Plus custom app development, custom themes, Shopify Scripts, Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, and integrations on an e-commerce sitePrevious experience working in collaboration with developers on a teamExperience in JavaScript, CSS, SQL, XML and HTML, RubyStrong analysis and troubleshooting abilityAbility to translate business needs into technical solutionsStrong understanding of ecommerce architecture and connectivity technologiesIntuitive troubleshooting skills, with the ability to optimize code for usability, performance, and scalabilityAttention to detail, especially in the organization and design of scripted solutionsAbility to work on multiple projects simultaneously, keeping momentum on each and while meeting project due dates.Knowledgeable in security / personal data protection principles (i.e. CCPA/GPDR)Thorough testing and debugging skills with browser console and external toolsExperience developing for responsive layouts for a desktop, tablet, and mobileExperience working with 3rd party services and APIs, specific plugins for ShopifyStrong communication skills specifically while relaying timelines and technical feedbackUnderstanding of e-commerce best practices including CVR optimization, A/B Testing, and UX designCommitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with latest trends in web development and ecommerce

We are proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to salary compensation. The annual salary range for this role is $115,000-130,000 in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more. The final salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the individual's experience and qualifications.
