Position Summary

Anticipated hiring hourly range: $26.00-$29.50 per hour

Under the direction of the Director of Communications and in collaboration with the Vice President of Marketing and Communications and Web Developer, the Web Content Manager will create and manage website content and SEO integration. The Web Content Manager will create, curate, and manage digital content that engages and informs our target audiences. They will work closely with the marketing and creative teams to ensure our web content aligns with our brand's voice and vision, while also enhancing the user experience. The Web Content Manager will be part of a dynamic and innovative institution, dedicated to providing high-quality web content and digital experience to our audience.

Develop and execute a content strategy that supports FPU's goals and objectives.Identify target audiences and create content tailored to their needs and interests.Write high-quality and engaging web content, including articles, blog posts, program descriptions, etc., collaborating with the Director of Enrollment Marketing to enhance program descriptions and updates.Update and maintain the company's website content using content management systems (CMS) and ensure accuracy and consistency.Implement on-page SEO best practices to enhance visibility and search engine rankings. Perform keyword research and optimization.Ensure all web content meets quality standards, is error-free, and adheres to brand guidelines.Collaborate with designers to improve the overall website's user experience, making content accessible and engaging.Monitor web traffic, user engagement, and content performance through analytics tolls (Google Analytics, etc.). Make data-driven decisions to enhance content effectiveness.Coordinate the promotion of web content with the Director of Communications as it relates to social media platforms, ensuring content is adapted appropriately for each channel.Work closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, design, communication, enrollment and development to achieve content and website objectives.Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in web content management and SEO.Complete tasks timely with work that is comprehensive, complete, and accurate.Communicates clearly, listens attentively, and seeks to understand othersCollaborates productively with colleagues of varying skillsetOther job duties as assignedQualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree3 or more years' experience working in a marketing/communication related field.Understanding of traditional and emerging communication channelsUnderstanding and ability to apply SEO strategy and implementation.Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies and methodologies in SEO strategies and web content creation.Metatag strategy, creation, and management.Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptFamiliarity with Google analyticsExcellent communication skillsAbility to think creatively and innovatively.Budget-management skills and proficiencyProfessional judgment and discretionAnalytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with market research, analysis, and planning.Experience with writing/content creation for marketing higher educationCommitment to the Christian mission of the UniversityBackend web development experience/knowledge is not required.Environmental Conditions:

Indoors in a normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes at least eighty percent (80%) of the time.Frequent computer use at a workstation, up to eight hours per day.Frequently work at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions.Drive personal or University vehicles to appointments.Public contact position requiring professional apparel, personal hygiene, and grooming.Physical Demands:

This position typically functions indoors in an office environment with light to moderate noise associated with business office equipment. The position may involve travel for meetings and events.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: remain in a stationary position 80 % of the time, be able to move about inside the office to access file cabinets/office machinery etc., operate a computer and keyboard and other office productivity machinery such as calculators/copy machines/printers. The employee is occasionally required to position self to reach items on the floor and in high cabinetry.The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Employee must be able to communicate with others to exchange information including both over the telephone and in-person communication with callers and community members and be able to read a computer screen and paper documents.Reasonable accommodations for those with disabilities will be provided in accordance with law.
