Job Summary

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:To support the unique theme of the school or program. Under general direction of the school principal in the planning and implementation of California State Standards with elementary students in an essential specialized program which relates to all subject areas including visual and performing arts, history, music, science, mathematics, language arts, social sciences, and cultures.• Collaborate with elementary teachers of all grade levels to assist with the integration of objectives of the California state Standards in a specialized essential program.• Develop and teach lessons for each grade level that enhance appreciation and knowledge in a specialized area in connection with core subject areas.• Provide specialized instruction and standards based activities in and out of the classroom.• Teach Steam classes to K-5 students.

Requirements / Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

ABILITY TO:- Develop lessons: plan and implement instruction.- Expose students to a wide variety

KNOWLEDGE OF:- Fundamentals, principles, and theory of the specialized subject.- Appropriate instructional methodology.- Objectives of the state-adopted series in a specific subject area when applicable.
