is seeking a

Crestron Programmer

to become the newest member(s) of the QTI Team in Huntsville, AL. These programmers will complete and lead projects in the Audio/Visual field.ResponsibilitiesCrestron Programmer will be responsible for developing and programming Crestron control systems to support Audio/Video installations for QTI.Consults with clients to analyze functions that need to be automated, client requirements, objectives, desired features, and input/output specifications.Writes and maintains functional and technical specifications.Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, compatibility with other systems, and computer capabilities.Develops and maintains plans outlining steps and timelines for application development, testing, and installation.Researches and evaluates software and hardware options for programming or as program platforms.Creates test transactions and runs tests to identify errors and ensure programs meet specifications. Analyzes code to determine the cause of errors and makes necessary revisions.Collaborates with clients to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs, seeking client approval.Writes and maintains documentation describing program development, logic, coding, testing, modifications, and bug fixes.Writes or reviews documentation created by others that explains installation and operational procedures.Provides technical assistance by addressing inquiries related to program errors, problems, or questions.Trains end users or technical support staff on program usage.Researches, installs, and tests upgrades for externally developed application programs.Performs other duties as assigned.RequirementsBachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a closely related field is preferred.A minimum of 3 years of progressive Crestron programming experience in the audio/video equipment industry is required, with 5 years exp being a plus.Ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and capable of working in a fast-paced organization while effectively prioritizing a heavy workload.Experience with Distributed Audio/Video systems, AutoCAD, videoconferencing, and boardroom installations is desired.Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance is necessary if or when applicable.
