Core Network Communication Supervisor

This position entails leading a team of networking and software engineers responsible for designing industry leading and innovative vehicle network designs for Ford's global fleet of vehicles. Development of network services and automated verification software programs that enable highly efficient, and effective, network communications solutions is a key aspect of building on Ford's great digital evolution.

Responsibilities

What you'll do..Lead a team of network communications engineers responsible for developing, releasing and maintaining core network communications software API's, design specifications and databases for Ford's global fleet. Networks minimally include Ethernet, Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN).Develop next generation vehicle networking design solutionsEvolve automatic cyber security attribute generator software programsEvolve communication message list validation programsDevelop, maintain and evolve new tools and automated processes to develop, manage and test network solutionsEnsure Ford participates in, leverages, and influences IEEE, ISO and SAE relevant network related committeesInterface with and support Ford's electronics and software development teams to realize high quality vehicle communications solutionsMaintain legacy core and vehicle programs' network message lists, and release new ones as neededQualifications
