Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics._**Responsibilities**Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.+ Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing.+ Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and to explain testing procedures.+ Perform and document testing.+ Monitor patient throughout testing and intervene as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.+ Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; score, interpret and report results of sleep studies.+ Prepare, calibrate, repair and maintain equipment required for testing.+ Determine and report needed repairs/replacements.**Requirements**Licensure/Certification/Registration:+ BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.+ One or more of the following required:+ Certified Polysomnographic Technician credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.+ Respiratory Care Practitioner obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.+ Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.+ Registered Polysomnographic Technologist credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.+ Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education:+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.**Additional Preferences**No additional preferences.**Why Join Our Team**Ascension Via Christi caregivers have been caring for and providing healing to Kansas communities for more than 135 years.
