Position Overview:The Social Media Coordinator supports the needs and goals of the Marketing & Communications Department while promoting the mission and values of the organization and maintaining the voice of the Seattle Symphony across all social media platforms. This role will collaborate across departments to fulfill their institutional and promotional goals through the Symphony's online presence.Primary Responsibilities:•Collaborate closely with the rest of the Marketing & Communications team to develop season-long campaign content and timelines•Collaborate with the in-house video production team to create compelling storytelling content for social platforms•Create and post content for Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn•Manage internal content routing (review) process for social media content•Maintain the calendar for social platforms and partner with other departments on their social media-related requests•Monitor all social platforms and respond to patron inquiries•Coordinate social media monitoring for evenings, weekends and holidays as needed•Act as a liaison with external marketing agency for paid digital campaigns•Research and stay up to date on trends in the social media spaceBenefits:•Excellent Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance (PPO, low deductible)•Employer paid Long-Term Disability, AD&D and Life Insurance•403b retirement savings plan with employer matching at 1 year•10 days' Vacation Time, 10 days Sick Time•2 personal days•11 holidays per year•Your birthday off!•Employee Assistance ProgramTo Apply:Please submit a cover letter, resume and 3-5 examples of social media content you have created for a brand to with this application.The Seattle Symphony values diversity and inclusiveness in the workplace. RequirementsQualifications:•BA (or equivalent experience) in Communications and/or Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations•2-3+ years' experience in social media marketing/communications•Passion for and general knowledge of classical music•Excellent writing, editing, organizational and interpersonal skills•Creative, collaborative self-starter with the ability to handle a high volume of concurrent deadlines•Availability to work some nights and weekends as needed when concerts are in season•Experience with project management software, including Asana and QuickBase, a plusPhysical Requirements: The physical requirements described here must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
